Make the most of your tax-free allowance

Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) let you save tax-free up to the annual limit, currently £20,000. With Cash ISAs you don't pay a penny of tax on any interest you earn so they're a great way to make more of your money.

It's also possible to bring all of your ISAs under one roof by transferring your existing ISAs to us (transferring previous years' subscriptions does not impact upon your annual tax-free allowance).

What's the difference?

In our range we offer Easy Access Cash ISAs, Limited Access Cash ISAs and Fixed Rate Cash ISAs, allowing you to save in the way that best suits you.

With the option to top up and take out as often as you wish, you can save flexibly with our Easy Access Cash ISAs. If you know you won't need to access your money regularly, our Limited Access Cash ISAs may be a better option to make more of your savings. Whilst these accounts limit the number of times you can dip into your savings, you can still top up as often as you like.

If you're happy putting your money away for at least a year for a definite return, you can save tax-free with our Fixed Rate Cash ISAs.

Frequently asked questions

An ISA is simply a savings account where you don’t have to pay tax on any interest you earn.

The tax year runs from 6 April to 5 April the following year, and in the current tax year you can save up to your annual ISA allowance limit of £20,000.

It depends which type of Cash ISA you have.

Easy Access Cash ISAs let you withdraw money anytime. Limited Access Cash ISAs usually offer a higher rate of interest if you can limit the number of times you want to take your money out. Fixed Rate Cash ISAs are most suitable for your longer term savings, however if you do need to access your money before your fixed term ends you can do (a charge will apply equivalent to a loss of interest on the amount withdrawn).

Yes they can. Subject to product specific Terms.

Our ISA Transfer Service is quick and easy. You can transfer a Cash ISA from another provider to us, or transfer from one Virgin Money Cash ISA to another. We accept transfers from other banks and building societies. Subscriptions in the current tax year are treated differently from those in previous years. Remember though, there may be specific conditions attached to certain types of ISA such as a Help to Buy ISA so check with your ISA provider before initiating a transfer.
