Checking your eligibility

To make sure the Club M Account is right for you, it’s important to review the eligibility criteria for the benefits included in your account.

Select an insurance below to view the qualifying criteria and make sure you, and anyone else covered under the policy, meet the requirements. For full details of coverage and exclusions, please see your Club M Account Insurance policy wording and Insurance Product Information Document.

All of the people insured must be under 75 years old.

Children must be under 18 years old and either in full-time education or living with the account holder.

Any partner must live with the Club M Account holder

All of the people insured must have been living in the UK or Channel Islands for at least six of the last 12 months and continue to hold this status to remain eligible.

You will only need to give AIG a call and go through the screening process if you answer 'yes' to any of the following pre-existing medical condition questions in respect of yourself or anyone else insured on the policy.

AIG will confirm whether coverage for the pre-existing medical conditions can be provided either at no cost or for an additional amount. If you answer 'yes' but do not call AIG, any pre-existing medical conditions may not be covered.

  1. In the last 12 months have you or anyone named on this policy been:
    1. Referred to see a specialist or on a waiting list to see a specialist?
    2. Referred to or attended hospital for any reason (including tests and procedures) or on a waiting list to attend hospital for any reason?
    3. Seen by a medical practitioner more than once for the same condition?
    4. Prescribed two or more medications for a medical condition or had any changes to your or their current medications?
  2. Have you or anyone insured on the policy ever received any medical advice, treatment or medication for any of the following conditions:
    1. Any heart or circulatory condition For example: heart failure, angina, valve disease
    2. Any cerebrovascular condition? For example: a stroke, any type of aneurysm, stenosis This excludes low/high blood pressure and/or low/high cholesterol.
    3. Any respiratory (breathing) condition which is combined with being a smoker For example: emphysema or COPD
    4. Any congenital (birth defect) or genetic condition that has resulted in a physical disability
    5. Any cancerous condition
    6. An organ transplant

Vehicles must be:

  • Taxed and Insured as well as holding a valid MOT.
  • Serviced, looked after and used as recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Fit to drive at the start of each journey.
  • Privately registered in the UK.
  • Within the limits as defined in the policy wording.
  • Never used to carry things or people for money, such as a taxi or courier.

Mobile phones must:

  • The price you paid is up to a maximum amount of £2,000 (including VAT) per device.
  • Must belong to you or a family member who lives at the same address.
  • Must have proof of purchase or ownership displaying the IMEI number.
  • Before opening a Club M account or turning on the insurance benefits mobile phones must be in full working order and any SIM enabled devices must be able to connect to the network.

Gadgets must:

  • The price you paid is up to a maximum amount of £2,000 (including VAT) per device.
  • Must belong to you or a family member who lives at the same address.
  • Be less than 5 years old.
  • Have valid proof of ownership.
  • Before opening a Club M account or turning on the insurance benefits mobile phones must be in full working order and any SIM enabled devices must be able to connect to the network.
