How do I report fraud
Fraud is when someone takes your money without you knowing about it. A scam is when you’re tricked into giving money or your personal details.
1. Stop all contact with the person if you’ve any doubts.
2. Call us on the phone numbers above or dial 159, a secure number that no one can spoof or impersonate. It's voice automated so just say 'Virgin Money' and you'll be put straight through to us. Visit the 159 Stop Scams UK website Link opens in a new window for more info.
3. Tell us what happened. We’ll give you advice on how to protect your money.
4. Scammers will put you under pressure to pay. They’ll likely send you lots of emails, texts and calls to send them money urgently. Don’t do this. Speak to us first.
