What is garden cover?

You garden is part of your home, so it deserves protection too.

Garden cover looks after the things in your garden if they’re damaged by events like storms, fire or theft. It’s included as part of your home insurance, so your outdoor space gets cover too.

It covers things like:

  • plants, shrubs and lawns
  • trees and hedges
  • flowerbeds and potted plants

What’s covered

Garden cover protects your garden items against unexpected events up to £1,000 as standard.

It covers for loss or damage caused by things like:

  • theft
  • storm or flood
  • fire, lightening or explosion
  • falling branches

We’ll even cover the cost of re-landscaping up to £5,000 if damage is caused by emergency services.

What's not covered

There are some situations where garden cover will not apply.

Things like:

  • wear and tear
  • poor maintenance
  • damage caused by pets
  • storm damage to fences, gates and hedges

Cover limits apply. Always check your policy documents to see what's covered.
