How long will my transfer take?
Transfers can take anything from a few weeks to a month or so. It all depends on the type of investments you're transferring over and who your provider is, but we'll make it as quick and easy as we can.
Here's how it works:
- You tell us about the account(s) you'd like to transfer. We'll need the name of your current provider, your plan or policy reference and the amount you want to transfer
- We'll get in touch with your current provider
- We might need a few more details from you, and some providers ask for a printed and signed transfer form. If we need something extra, we'll be in touch
- You can track your transfer's progress in Online Service
- We'll be in touch when your transfer is complete
Remember, if you're transferring other investments, they'll need to be sold. The cash value will then be transferred to us. This means you could be 'out of the market' while the transfer happens.
If you opened your account before 1 January 2023
You can call us to start your transfer. We’ll need you to return a signed transfer form before we can contact your existing provider.
