Card fraud happens when someone uses your debit or credit card details without your permission. It can happen if your card is stolen, copied, or if your details are taken through a phishing message, data breach or online scam.

What are the red flags?

  • Transactions on your account that you don’t recognise
  • Emails, texts or calls asking you to “verify” your card or click a link
  • Websites you don’t recognise asking for card details
