Pension transfer-in offer terms
Customers who transfer in one or more pensions worth at least £1,000 into their Virgin Money Pension before 23 August 2024.
Transfer one or more pensions worth at least £1,000 in to a Virgin Money Pension before 23 August 2024, and keep it invested until 20 December 2024. Offer also applies to any existing pension customer who has submitted an online transfer request since 8 January 2024. The offer also applies to any new pension accounts opened since 15 November 2023 who have made a transfer in since opening. We need to receive your transfer application online before 5pm on 23 August 2024, and the transfer must complete by 20 December 2024. You must provide or already have saved an email address to your pension to allow us to send you the Virgin Points.
One offer per customer. The more you choose to transfer in, the more Virgin Points you could receive – see table below.
Virgin Red is a rewards club that turns your everyday spending into Virgin Points. If you apply by 23 August 2024 to transfer in one or more pensions worth at least £1,000 and keep it invested until 20 December 2024 you’ll earn Virgin Points. The table below shows you how many Virgin Points you can earn based on the total amount transferred in before the closing date.

Once you’ve qualified for the offer, we’ll email you a Virgin Red promo code to get your points. Your Virgin Points reward will be based on the total pension value(s) you’ve transferred in by 20 December 2024.
If you haven’t already, you’ll need to join Virgin Red to be able to redeem and spend the points. It’s quick and easy to sign-up, and the best bit: it’s totally free.
We will send your promo code by email during January 2025. It will be sent to the email address we hold for you. The email will provide instructions on how to sign up (if you aren’t already a Virgin Red member) and how to redeem the promo code on the Virgin Red app or website. We may also send you a reminder email.
You have until 25 April 2025 to redeem your promo code and claim your points - so make sure you do it before then or you’ll miss out.
After you’ve redeemed your Virgin Red promo code, the points are added to your Virgin Red account. There is no specific expiry date for using the points. Virgin Points can be spent on a wide range of exciting rewards ranging from everyday treats to extraordinary experiences and everything in between. Log in to the Virgin Red app or look at the Virgin Red website and discover all the different options.

We thought we should highlight a few key things from Virgin Red’s programme terms:
- The points don’t have a cash value and they can’t be swapped for cash or transferred to anyone else (except as set out in the Virgin Red programme terms).
- The number of Virgin Points you can earn or the number of Virgin Points you need to spend to obtain a reward may change at any time.

- There is no upper limit to the number or value of pensions that can be transferred in, but the maximum amount of Virgin Points you can earn is 125,000.
- Applications for the Pension are subject to status and eligibility criteria.
- You should consider carefully whether transferring other pensions is right for you. We can only accept certain types of pension transfer, these are shown on our website.
- We’ll use your personal information to help us run the offer. This includes information we hold around transaction history, your email address and name.
- We will receive confirmation from Virgin Red if your code has been used.
- English law applies to the offer.
- If something goes wrong, we’ll try to fix it. If we can’t because it’s something we can’t control, or it’s not our fault, then we may have to change the offer. This includes suspending the offer or ending it early. We can make such changes without giving you notice. However, we’ll try our best to avoid making changes. And we’ll try to minimise any disappointment to you when we make changes.
- Offer excludes transferring money from an existing Virgin Money Pension.
- We can withdraw the offer without giving you any advance notice, but we’ll try to give some notice if we can.
- We’ve got a limited number of Virgin Red codes, so once they’re gone, they’re gone. As long as you’ve got a Virgin Money Pension with us before we withdraw the offer and you’ve satisfied the offer criteria shown in ‘What is the offer’, we’ll still give you your relevant amount of Virgin Red Points.
