- Your current deal has ended or ends within 180 days
- You're up to date with your mortgage payments
- You're paid in pounds sterling
- You're not borrowing more or changing your term or repayment type
- You're not planning any overpayments or payment holidays before your new deal starts

Questions and answers
Apply before the 10th of your current deal’s last month, and your new deal should start on time. Apply later and you could end up paying a higher variable rate when your deal ends.
Top tip
Some applications take longer. Some need you to return paperwork. So it’s good to agree a new deal as early as you can. And if a better rate becomes available before your current deal ends, you can reapply.
Most customers don’t need to do anything, it happens automatically. If we need anything from you, we’ll let you know.
How it works
- We’ll email and post your mortgage offer and illustration. Please read everything carefully to make sure you’re happy.
- If we haven’t asked for anything extra, we'll set up your new deal automatically, 10 days after the date of your offer. It will start when your current deal ends.

Yes. If you applied online, you can apply again and choose another rate. Then we’ll send you a new mortgage offer and illustration.

There’s no need to cancel previous applications. You’ll always switch to the last deal you applied for. But make sure you leave enough time for us to make the changes before your current deal ends.
The great news is that there's no application, valuation or legal fees to pay when you switch to a new deal with us.
Product Fees may apply should you select or be recommended a deal with a fee (which usually carry a lower interest rate). This fee can be paid up front prior to transferring to your new deal, or added to your loan if appropriate.
