Your Business Debit Card linked to your business current account will be enrolled in this programme automatically, but if you want to opt out you can. Terms apply to Cashback which you accept by continuing to use your card. Here are the terms you need to know:

  • If you’re an M Account for Business customer, you’ll earn 0.25% Cashback with no cap. You will earn 0.50% cashback with no cap when you use your debit card at qualifying trade and home improvement stores.
  • The Cashback doesn’t come from the retailers that you buy things from, it comes from Virgin Money as a benefit of using your Debit Card. We add the Cashback credit monthly to your business account.

Each Debit Card will be automatically enrolled – you don’t need to do anything.

Should you not wish to receive this Cashback benefit, you can opt out by contacting us:

  • Via Secure Chat on Business Internet Banking, you can reach us 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 2pm Saturday
  • Call us on 0800 756 0800, between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday  
  • You'll need your Debit Card handy when you get in touch

If we send you a new Debit Card it will automatically be registered for Cashback. You'll need to opt out again if you don't want your replacement Debit Card to be enrolled for Cashback.

Any additional cardholders linked to your business current account will earn Cashback (you can have up to 8 additional Debit Cards on your business current account). They'll need to be opted out individually if you do not wish to receive the Cashback benefits.

Not all Debit Card transactions are eligible for Cashback. Some exclusions do apply like payments which are then cancelled, reversed or refunded, transactions with gambling businesses, any tax related payments, payments made via a third party payment service provider and money transfers. This Cashback benefit is linked to your business current account and is a standalone programme. However, if eligible, you may receive other benefits from using your Debit Card as part of Virgin Money’s Mastercard Business Savings programme.

The Cashback will normally be credited to your business current account by the 15th of the month following spend, but sometimes it might be earlier or later.

Your new Debit Card(s) will be automatically enrolled for Cashback after your old one is cancelled. Any Cashback earned but not already paid on a lost card will be lost.

If you close your account and your Debit Card(s) is (are) cancelled, then you'll lose any Cashback earned but not already paid.

If we cancel your Debit Card(s) then you will lose any Cashback earned but not already paid. 

We can withdraw this offer and/or change the terms relating to Cashback (including the rate paid, the exclusions and the cap) at any time. You may not receive notice of this and any unpaid Cashback may be lost.

What’s covered

  • Replacement or repaired devices being sent beyond the UK. Replacements and repaired items can only be sent to UK addresses.
  • Mechanical breakdown within the manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer can help you with device issues when under warranty.
  • More than 2 replacements in a 12-month period for each insured item.
  • Cosmetic damage that doesn't affect the functionality of your device, like surface scratches and dents.

Your vehicle must meet these criteria:

  • It's either a car, light van, motorhome or motorbike
  • It's privately or commercially registered in the UK
  • There aren't more people in it than the manufacturer would recommend, or more than nine altogether including the driver
  • It can't weigh more than 4 metric tonnes (4,000kg) in total, including any load carried
  • It can't be more than 7 metres long (apart from a tow bar or coupling device), 3 metres tall and 2.55 metres wide
  • It's been serviced, looked after and used as recommended by the manufacturer
  • At the time of breakdown it’s got valid road tax and MOT and meets any legal requirements and driving laws that apply
  • It must be fit to drive when you take out the policy and at the start of each journey
  • It's never used to carry things or people for money. For example, as a courier service or taxi

Check if you can open an M Account for Business

  • Annual turnover of less than £1million
  • Based and operated in the UK
    (excluding Channel islands, Isle of Man & Northern Ireland)
  • Have owners, directors, senior management and account signatories over 18 years old
  • Not currently bankrupt
  • Have never been disqualified as a company director
  • Operate in or trade with Crimea (Ukrainian territory), Iran, North Korea or Syria
  • Are a shell bank
  • Undertake money services business as a primary or secondary business activity (e.g. bureau de change, money transmitters and cheque encashment agencies)
  • Are a medicinal cannabis related business
  • Are an unregistered high value dealer
  • Have nominee shareholders within the business structure
  • Financial information, including business turnover
  • Companies House name or registration number
    (If applicable to your business)
  • Three years of personal address history for anyone you want to operate and use this account, plus anyone who owns or controls 25% or greater of the business
  • If your business is a Limited Company, Partnership or a Limited Liability Partnership, we'll also need this information for any Directors, Partners, Members of Senior Management (Chairperson, Chief Executive/Managing Director)
  • The authority to apply for this account on behalf of the business
  • A business email and mobile phone number
  • You may need to provide a live selfie and an identity document to confirm who you are with our identity partners Mitek
  • If proof of trading is not provided at outset it must be as soon as information becomes available, within 6 months or your account is at risk of being closed
