- Charities with an annual turnover under £1 million are eligible for free day-to-day banking. [1]
Charities with an annual turnover over £1 million pay a monthly fee of £6.50 and a charge for each transaction.

How to open an account
To open a Charities Choice Account, you need to be a registered charity based in the UK, excluding the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland. And your trustees and committee members need to be aged 18 or over.
You can't open an account if you're a business, unregistered charity, or you handle client funds.
What you need to open an account
To open your account, the person applying needs authority to apply on behalf of the charity. And you need some details about your charity:
- email and mobile number
- financial information, including turnover
- countries you operate in
- constitution or governing document
You also need personal details for at least 2 people who will use the account:
- name, date of birth, email and mobile number
- address history for the last 3 years

Bringing Nationwide and Virgin Money together
