M Account for Business

0.25%

M Account for Business customers will earn 0.25% cashback (no cap). Terms and exclusions apply.

All other business current accounts

0.35%

Business current account customers will earn 0.35% cashback (capped at £500 per calendar year per debit card). Terms and exclusions apply.

How it works

Here's just some of the ways you can earn cashback.

Cashback on purchases
Just spend on your card like normal. We'll pay cashback on pretty much everything, but there is some spending we don't cover, like tax payments or gambling.

Paying in cash and cheques

Use your Virgin Money business debit card to pay in cash and cheques at any Store, using our deposit cash machines.

Deposit up to £2,000 each day, per card

As well as using our Stores, you can pop into the Post Office and use your debit card to pay in money. For each account you can pay in up to £10,000 per day, and up to £250,000 over any 12-month period.

Terms and conditions

Before applying make sure you have read the following

Your Business Debit Card linked to your business current account will be enrolled in this programme automatically, but if you want to opt out you can. Terms apply to Cashback which you accept by continuing to use your card. Here are the terms you need to know:

  • Business Current Account customers will earn 0.35% back on what you spend using your Debit Card with eligible retailers (capped at £500 per calendar year per Debit Card). If you’re an M Account for Business customer, you’ll earn 0.25% Cashback with no cap. The Cashback doesn’t come from the retailers that you buy things from, it comes from Virgin Money as a benefit of using your Debit Card. We add the Cashback credit monthly to your business account.
  • Each Debit Card will be automatically enrolled – you don’t need to do anything.
  • Should you not wish to receive this Cashback benefit, you can opt out by:
    • Contacting us via Secure Chat on Business Internet Banking or call us on 0800 756 0800, between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. You'll need your Debit Card handy when you get in touch.
  • If we send you a new Debit Card it will automatically be registered for Cashback. You'll need to opt out again if you don't want your replacement Debit Card to be enrolled for Cashback.
  • Any additional cardholders linked to your business current account will earn Cashback (you can have up to 8 additional Debit Cards on your business current account). They'll need to be opted out individually if you do not wish to receive the Cashback benefits.
  • Not all Debit Card transactions are eligible for Cashback. Some exclusions do apply like payments which are then cancelled, reversed or refunded, transactions with gambling businesses, any tax related payments, payments made via a third party payment service provider and money transfers. We can change the list of exclusions from time to time, without notice. You can find the list of exclusions.
  • This Cashback benefit is linked to your business current account and is a standalone programme. However, if eligible, you may receive other benefits from using your Debit Card as part of Virgin Money’s Mastercard Business Savings programme.
  • The Cashback will normally be credited to your business current account by the 15th of the month following spend, but sometimes it might be earlier or later.
  • Your new Debit Card(s) will be automatically enrolled for Cashback after your old one is cancelled. Any Cashback earned but not already paid on a lost card will be lost.
  • If you close your account and your Debit Card(s) is (are) cancelled, then you'll lose any Cashback earned but not already paid.
  • If we cancel your Debit Card(s) then you will lose any Cashback earned but not already paid.
  • We can withdraw this offer and/or change the terms relating to Cashback (including the rate paid, the exclusions and the cap) at any time. You may not receive notice of this and any unpaid Cashback may be lost.

Your Business Debit Card linked to your Business Current Account will be enrolled in this programme automatically, but if you want to opt out you can. Terms apply to Virgin Money’s Mastercard Business Savings (Business Savings) which you accept by continuing to use your Debit Card. Here are the terms you need to know:

  • Business Savings provides you with savings when you spend using your Debit Card with participating businesses. There are no codes or coupons to rebate - savings are automatically provided and added to your monthly Business Current Account statement. The rebate amount will be paid directly to your account around 3 days following the qualifying transaction.   • Mastercard’s terms and conditions apply to this programme.
  • The businesses offering discounts (and the amount of those discounts) will change from time to time without notice. We don’t control that.
  • Each Debit Card will be automatically enrolled – you don’t need to do anything.
  • By participating in Business Savings, you accept these terms. If you don’t want to accept these terms, you can opt out of Business Savings by:
    • Contacting us via Secure Chat on Business Internet Banking or call us on 0800 756 0800, between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. You'll need your Debit Card handy when you get in touch.
  • If we send you a new Debit Card it will automatically be registered for Business Savings. You'll need to opt out again if you don't want your replacement Debit Card to be enrolled for Business Savings.
  • If you have additional cardholders, they too can benefit from Business Savings (you can have up to 8 additional Debit Cards on your Business Current Account). They'll need to be opted out individually if they don't wish to receive the Business Savings benefits.
  • The Business Savings programme is linked to your Business Current Account and is a standalone programme. However, if eligible, you may receive other benefits from using your Debit Card as part of Virgin Money’s Cashback programme.
  • We can withdraw from offering Business Savings/and or change the terms relating to the programme (including changing the retailers and the rebate being offered) on your Debit Card at any time. You may not receive notice of this and any unpaid rebate may be lost

Business Debit Card Cashback

Mastercard Identity Check

To make sure all online transactions performed within a Merchant's App or on their website are secure, you may be asked to verify your identity when you use your Mastercard at a participating online retailer.

If you're registered for the Mobile Banking App, we will send a message to your App. You'll need to accept this message before you can complete your transaction.

If you have a business mobile on record (and do not have the Mobile Banking App) then we'll send you a six-digit one-time passcode for you to enter on screen at the retailer's checkout.

Make sure we have your current business mobile (call us on 0800 345 7365 or visit us in Store if you're not certain).

If you don't have either then please be aware that your transaction may be declined.

Mastercard Identity Check works with most internet browsers and merchant apps, but software that prevents pop-up windows may interfere with your use of Identity Check.
