The legal bits
Your Business Credit Card will be automatically enrolled into this Cashback programme, but if you want to opt out you can.
By continuing to use your card you accept the terms that apply to Cashback.
Here are the terms you need to know:
- Business Credit Card customers will earn 1.00% back on what you spend using your Credit Card with eligible spend, with no cap. The Cashback doesn’t come from the merchants where you have made a purchase, it comes from Virgin Money as a benefit of using your Credit Card. We add the Cashback credit monthly to your Business Credit Card account.
- Each Credit Card will be automatically enrolled – you don’t need to do anything.
- Should you not wish to receive this Cashback benefit, you can opt out by:
- Contacting us via Secure Chat on Business Internet Banking or call us on 0800 756 0800, between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. You'll need your Credit Card handy when you get in touch.
- If we send you a new Business Credit Card, it will automatically be registered for Cashback. You'll need to opt out again if you don't want your replacement Credit Card to be enrolled for Cashback.
- Any additional cardholders linked to your Business Credit Card account will earn Cashback. They'll need to be opted out individually if you do not wish to receive the Cashback benefit.
- Not all Business Credit Card transactions are eligible for Cashback. Some exclusions do apply like transactions with gambling businesses, any tax related payments, payments made via a third-party payment service, and money transfers. Payments which are cancelled, reversed or refunded are also excluded. The exclusions are:
- Transfer of money (within the UK and/or international)
- Cash transactions and deposits into bank accounts
- Gambling & purchasing of Cryptocurrency
- Tax Payments
- Debt repayment (including car loan repayment)
- Payment transactions to another Mastercard account
- Purchase of Financial products (including Traveller’s cheques, foreign currency, prepaid store cards, stocks & shares
- This Cashback benefit is linked to your Business Credit Card and is a standalone programme. However, if eligible, you may receive other benefits from using your Business Credit Card as part of Virgin Money’s Mastercard Business Savings programme.
- Your cashback is normally credited to your account by 5th of the following month when you spend on your business credit cards (it might be earlier or later).
- Your new Business Credit Card(s) will be automatically enrolled for Cashback after your old one is cancelled. Any Cashback earned but not already paid on a lost or stolen card will be lost.
- If you close your account and your Business Credit Card(s) is (are) cancelled, then you'll lose any Cashback earned but not already paid.
- If we cancel your Business Credit Card(s) then you will lose any Cashback earned but not already paid.
- We can withdraw this offer and/or change the terms relating to Cashback (including the rate paid, the exclusions and the cap) at any time. You may not receive notice of this, and any unpaid Cashback may be lost.
Your Business Debit Card linked to your business current account will be enrolled in this programme automatically, but if you want to opt out you can. Terms apply to Cashback which you accept by continuing to use your card. Here are the terms you need to know:
Business Current Account customers will earn 0.35% back on what you spend using your Debit Card with eligible retailers (capped at £500 per calendar year per Debit Card). If you’re an M Account for Business customer, you’ll earn 0.25% Cashback with no cap. The Cashback doesn’t come from the retailers that you buy things from, it comes from Virgin Money as a benefit of using your Debit Card. We add the Cashback credit monthly to your business account.
Each Debit Card will be automatically enrolled – you don’t need to do anything.
Should you not wish to receive this Cashback benefit, you can opt out by:

This Cashback benefit is linked to your business current account and is a standalone programme. However, if eligible, you may receive other benefits from using your Debit Card as part of Virgin Money’s Mastercard Business Savings programme.
The Cashback will normally be credited to your business current account by the 15th of the month following spend, but sometimes it might be earlier or later.
Your new Debit Card(s) will be automatically enrolled for Cashback after your old one is cancelled. Any Cashback earned but not already paid on a lost card will be lost.
