Business Banking Online Service

Helpful information

Important information

Fraudsters are calling customers pretending to be from our fraud team. They say there’s been an unusual payment or log in activity on the account and the account has been ‘restricted’ to keep it safe. They then direct customers to a fake website to click on a ‘live chat’ link to lift any ‘restrictions’. In some instances, they ask customers to type *21 followed by a mobile number on their phone, which will divert calls to the fraudsters phone.

We will NEVER do this or ask you to approve payments in the app. If you get a call that you are unsure about, HANG UP and call us directly asap.

Stay safe and secure

Criminals use a wide range of methods to commit fraud and scams. So to keep yourself safe follow these five rules:

  1. Never disclose security detail, such as your PIN, full banking password or one time pass code to anyone even bank staff.
  2. Don't assume an email, text or phone call is authentic.
  3. Don't be rushed - a genuine organisation won't mind waiting.
  4. Listen to your instincts - you know if something doesn't feel right.
  5. Stay in control - don't panic and make a decision you'll regret.

Criminals are experts at impersonating people, organisations and the police. Stop and think. It could protect you and your money.

  1. Stop: Taking a moment to stop and think before parting with your money or information could keep you safe.
  2. Challenge: Could it be fake? It's ok to reject, refuse or ignore any requests. Only criminals will try and rush or panic you.
  3. Protect: Contact your bank immediately if you think you've fallen for a scam and report it to the Action Fraud.
