You might not actually be able to go anywhere right now, but even a lockdown doesn’t stop you dreaming. January is traditionally the month to start making those all-important holiday plans for the year ahead, but this year is a little different. If any Instagram account makes you want to travel the world to visit new places, this is it. ‘An insider’s guide to the world’, Conde Nast Traveller has over 1.6million followers for good reason. From dreamy beach locations to dramatic landscapes, such as Greenland, this account really does have something for everyone.

3. Johnny Golden

She’s a source of inspiration for solo travellers, especially solo female travellers, and her Instagram oozes confidence and independence. This account has a specific focus on small, boutique destinations with soul and is the one for you if you’re thinking of holiday in the UK this year. We’ve discovered so many beautiful locations thanks to this Instagram – from hideaways in Norfolk to coastal breaks in Kent, shepherd’s huts in the New Forest and off-grid escapes in Scotland.
