You can use this form to close:
- Virgin Money current accounts with sort codes starting 82/05
- Virgin Money savings accounts with sort codes starting 82/05
You can’t use this form to close:
- ISAs
- Business accounts

Are you switching to another bank?
Using the Current Account Switch Service may be the best option for you if you're closing a current account. Your new bank can move your payments, transfer your balance and close your current account for you.

Things you'll need to do before closing your account
Before you continue, make sure you:
- repay any money you've borrowed
- move all money out of the account so the balance is £0.00
- cancel any standing orders or regular payments set up on this account
- move any money out of linked accounts (if you have them)
- redeem any cashback or rewards (if your account offers these)
If you’re closing a current account with linked accounts
If your current account has a linked savings account (for example an M Plus account with an M Plus Saver), when you close your current account, we’ll close your linked saver at the same time. Or we’ll move the money to a similar savings account.
Any M Power accounts linked to your current account will stay open, but you won’t be able to view them anymore. We won’t be able to discuss or share information about those accounts with you directly.
If you have more than one eligible account
If you have more than one eligible account, you’ll need to submit a separate form for each.
Linked accounts will close automatically where explained above.
