Red: our lowest cost policy, with excess charges of £100 for each claim you make.
Silver: standard policy, with excess charges of £60 for each claim you make.
Gold: increased cover, with lower excess charges of £50 for each claim you make.
Black: our top-of-the-range policy, with no excess charges.
Included in this cover
We pay up to the amount specified for emergency medical treatment and ambulance costs as well as your journey home, if it's medically necessary.
We will pay for every complete 24 hour period you spend in hospital as an in-patient (up to a total of the amount specified).
We will pay up to the amount specified if your baggage or personal belongings are lost, damaged or stolen. Please note, we will take wear and tear and the decrease in value over time into account when we value your claim.
We will pay for each 12 hours up to the amount specified for essentials to tide you over if your baggage or personal belongings are delayed on your outward journey.
We will pay up to the amount specified if your personal money is lost or stolen.
If your trip is cancelled, we will pay up to the amount specified for travel and accommodation costs you can't recover.
If the start of your outward or return international journey is delayed we will pay for each 12 hours of the delay (up to a total of the amount specified).
We will pay up to the amount specified for additional travel or accommodation costs if you miss your outward or return journey home.
Trip cut short
If your trip is cut short, we will pay up to the amount specified for travel and accommodation costs you can't recover.
The standard excess is the amount you pay towards a claim.
If you select double excess, the price of your policy will reduce but if you make a claim, the excess you will have to pay will be double the standard amount.
If you select excess waiver, the price of your policy will go up but if you make a claim, you won't have to pay an excess. Note: even if you select the excess waiver, you may still have to pay an increased medical excess if you claim because of a declared medical condition or sports / leisure activity.
You can change your excess level when you get a quote.

Take unlimited trips during your 12-month policy period, lasting up to 31 days each for our Red cover, 45 days each for our Silver cover or 90 days each for our Gold or Black cover
If you're over 65, your trip can last up to 31 days for all policies.

You can travel up to 10 days with our Red cover, 17 days with our Silver cover and 24 days with our Gold and Black cover.
