You’ll need to make a transaction using your PIN before using contactless.
If you don't want to use the App, no problem - you can activate your card when you register for Online Service. If you're already set up with Online Service, then you can activate your card the next time you sign in.
As you progress through the registration process you will be asked if you want to register your new card.

To activate your credit card online you need to sign in to Online Service.
You will be directed to the page shown below which shows transactions you have made with your card. On the right hand side of your screen you will find the 'Activate your card' link directly underneath your account summary. Just click the link and you will be taken through the card activation process.
If you do not see the ‘Activate your card’ link then your card does not require to be activated on this occasion and you can start using it straight away.

Using Apple Pay is simple, and it works with compatible Apple devices you use every day.
Your card information is secure because it isn’t stored on your device or shared when you pay. Paying in shops, apps, and on the web has never been easier, safer, or more private.
Simply download the Virgin Money Credit Card app and set up there, or go to the wallet function in your device and click + to add your card to Apple Pay.
If you’re an additional card holder, you won’t be able to register your card with Apple Pay in the Virgin Money app. Simply add using the wallet instead.
