Terms and conditions for earning miles

The terms and conditions relate specifically to Earning miles with the Virgin Atlantic American Express® Credit Card from MBNA and the Virgin Atlantic Visa Credit Card from MBNA.

The Virgin Atlantic American Express® Credit Card from MBNA and the Virgin Atlantic Visa Credit Card from MBNA are promoted by Virgin Money Limited, Registered Office: Discovery House, Whiting Road, Norwich NR4 6EJ. Earning Flying Club miles

Every £1 you spend on the Virgin Atlantic American Express® Credit Card from MBNA and the Virgin Atlantic Visa Credit Card from MBNA earns you Flying Club miles that you can redeem on a huge range of fabulous rewards. Cash transactions, money transfers, and balances you transfer to MBNA Europe Bank Limited do not earn Flying Club miles.

If you have the no fee account, you will earn 1 Flying Club mile for every £1 you spend on the Virgin Atlantic White American Express® Credit Card and 1 Flying Club mile for every £2 you spend on the Virgin Atlantic White Visa Credit Card. If you have the fee account, you will earn 2 Flying Club miles for every £1 you spend on the Virgin Atlantic Black American Express® Credit Card and 1 Flying Club mile for every £1 you spend on the Virgin Atlantic Black Visa Credit Card. Miles are earned for each whole pound spent on each card purchase on your card. You will earn double your normal rate of miles on your Virgin Atlantic Credit Cards when you spend direct with Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays (and from time to time other partners), visit www.virginatlantic.com/creditcard for more information.

The number of Flying Club miles earned each month from credit card spend will be displayed on your monthly credit card statement, and will then be added to your Flying Club account within 30 days of the statement date. Please note, it is not possible to allocate Flying Club miles to your account before they have appeared on your statement. Where a refund is made on your card, your Flying Club miles total will be adjusted accordingly. Should you decide to cancel your Virgin Atlantic Credit Card Account before the production of your next statement, then any miles you have earned during the current statement period will be lost. Cardmembers miles can be suspended or cancelled if you do not keep your account in good standing.

If you have not provided MBNA with a valid Flying Club membership number at the point your statement is generated, Virgin Atlantic will not be able to allocate Flying Club miles to your account. Please note the Flying Club membership number you give us must be for a Flying Club account in your name. If you have any additional cardmembers on your card account, any Flying Club miles they earn by spending on their cards will also be credited to your Flying Club account. Your personal information will be processed by Virgin Money Limited for the purpose of administering the Flying Club miles earned through your Virgin Atlantic Credit Card Account. Your card cannot be used within the Virgin Card Members Shop, and no cash alternative is available.

Bonus Flying Club miles

You will earn 3,000 Flying Club miles on your Virgin Atlantic White Credit Card Account or 6,000 Flying Club miles on your Virgin Atlantic Black Credit Card Account if you make your first card purchase within 90 days of your account being opened. The Flying Club miles will be credited to your Flying Club account within 30 days of your statement date. If you have not provided MBNA with a valid Flying Club membership number at the point your statement is generated, Virgin Atlantic will not be able to allocate Flying Club miles to your account.
