Your questions answered

Points are earned for every £1 spent on card purchases. You won’t earn points on any cash transactions, balance transfers or money transfers.

With a Virgin Atlantic Reward credit card you'll earn 0.75 points for every £1 you spend. Or, if you have chosen the Virgin Atlantic Reward+ credit card with a £160 annual fee, you'll earn 1.5 points for every £1 you spend. Every time you spend direct with Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays you'll also earn double Virgin Points.

We calculate the points earned on each transaction, including points on parts of £1 spent. This total amount is then rounded up to the nearest whole point and added to your Flying Club account within 5 days of your monthly statement.

The points you can earn each month are capped based on your credit limit. For example, if your credit limit is £5,000, you'll earn points on the first £5,000 of card purchases in a month. If you spend more than that, then you won't earn points on any additional spending. We'll reset the counter every month on the date of your credit card statement. The cap doesn't apply to bonus points.

Please note, you must have provided Virgin Money with a valid Flying Club number in the name of the main account holder to earn your Virgin Points.

You can also see all the Virgin Red rewards in the ‘Rewards’ section of the Virgin Money Wallet app. Head to the 'Earn Points' tab where you'll find all the partners you can earn Virgin Points with. Each offer tells you how many Virgin Points you could earn and how quickly they'll be added to your account once you have completed the transaction.

If you have linked your Virgin Atlantic Flying Club to your Red account you will be able to also see these points in the Virgin Money Wallet app. For more information, see Virgin Red's FAQs.

Please note that Virgin Red is a separate company with separate programme terms and privacy notice.

You can choose from a huge range of rewards such as flights and upgrades with Virgin Atlantic and our airlines partner, as well as other rewards like hotel stays, spa days and so much more.

You can also spend your Virgin Points in the Virgin Money Digital Wallet app, in the Rewards tab, click the 'Spend' screen. Here you'll find all the partners you can spend Virgin Points with. It's easy to choose your reward - simply follow the instructions to complete your order. Your Virgin Points will be deducted from your balance immediately.

Please refer to each individual offer which will set out any specific terms for that particular offer.

Visit Virgin Atlantic Flying Club more information.

In the app just tap the 'More' icon and then 'Flying Club'. If you've given us your Flying Club number, you'll be able to see the points you've earned with your credit card during your last statement period.

If you can't see your points, it's usually because we don't have your Flying Club number. To update this in the app, go to the same screen (tap 'More' and then 'Flying Club') and enter your Flying Club number - it's a 10-digit number which starts with a 1. It may take a few days for this to update, so keep checking back. If there are any issues, we'll let you know.

If you can't remember your Flying Club number, enter your details on virginatlantic.com to get a reminder.

There’s a cap on the Virgin Points you can earn each month based on your credit limit.

So if your credit limit is £5,000, you’ll earn points on the first £5,000 of card purchases in a month. If you spend more than that, you won’t earn points on that bit. We’ll reset the counter every month on the date of your credit card statement.

The cap doesn't apply to bonus points.
