More city centre hotels for Travelodge
15/03/2010
Ten new sites have been announced by budget hotel chain Travelodge following a year of continued expansion, MSN.com has reported.
London’s Bethnal Green, Bank and Ealing, as well as Bristol, Liverpool, Camberley, Cannock, Andover and Manchester’s MEN Arena and University will all see new hotels constructed as Travelodge continues to move into more central locations.
Half of the chain's hotels are now situated in city centres, with a quarter in roadside locations and the remaining 25 per cent spread across suburban, seaside and tourist areas.
Managing director for development Paul Harvey commented, "During the recession we have taken the opportunity to grow where many have put their development on hold."
2009 was the fastest expansion year in Travelodge history as cheaper accommodation options became more sought after.
Fantastic value travel insurance is available from Virgin Money for all types of domestic holiday.
