What is a balance transfer?
A balance transfer* is when you use your Virgin Credit Card to pay off a balance on another credit or store card. This transfers the balance to your Virgin Credit Card. You could save money when you take advantage of the balance transfer rate on your Virgin Credit Card to pay off more expensive cards. You’ll then also have less paperwork to worry about.
Simply follow the step-by-step guide. You’ll need these details:
- The name of the other credit or store card issuer.
(This is on your card or statement.) - The number of the card you’d like to transfer the balance from.
(The long number on the front.) - The amount you’d like to transfer to your Virgin Credit Card.
- Your phone number in case we need to get in touch.
As the Virgin Credit Card is issued by MBNA you can't transfer a balance from another credit card issued by them.
* Handling fee applies. You can only transfer up to 95% of your available credit limit.
How to complete
a balance transfer
Step 1
Log in to your Virgin Credit Card account. Not used Online Card Services before? It’s quick and easy to Register.
Step 2
Once you log in, under Your Account choose Make a Transfer, then either Transfer a Balance or Transfer Money.
Step 3
Fill in the fields on the next page and click Continue.
It’s that simple.
