Workplace pensions

To help people save for their retirement, the Government brought in new legislation for employers to automatically enrol their staff into a pension scheme and make contributions towards it. It’s important for you as an employer to make sure you have a qualifying pension scheme to offer your employees.

Members of workplace pensions

The Independent Governance Committee (IGC) have published their first annual report for the Virgin Stakeholder Pension, which is available to download here.

The report sets out the work the IGC have carried out during the period, outlines their plans for 2016/17 and also Virgin Money's response to the report.

As the name suggests, the IGC is completely independent of Virgin Money, acting solely in the interests of you and other scheme members. If the IGC has any concerns about your pension scheme, it will raise them with us and can also raise them directly with our regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The IGC has been set up for your benefit and will be pleased to receive any questions you may have about this report or their assessment of your pension scheme. You can contact them by emailing workplacepensionsfeedback@virginmoney.com

Existing Virgin Workplace Pensions

If you currently have a Virgin Workplace Pension and would like to talk to us about the running of your existing scheme, please call us on 03456 10 10 67 *, we are here 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 6pm on Saturdays.

Looking for a new scheme

The Virgin Workplace Pension is no longer open to new applications so we are unable to support any new requests to provide a qualifying scheme. There are many schemes which can be used to fulfil your obligations and further information on finding a qualifying scheme, plus information to make sure you are up-to-date with the new regulations, is available via The Pension Regulators website.

*Calls to 03 numbers cost the same as calls to 01 or 02 numbers and they are included in inclusive minutes and discount schemes in the same way. Calls may be monitored and recorded.
