Are my current Virgin Money products going to change?
No. There are no changes to any Virgin Money products. We’ll continue to support you in the same way as before, whether that’s online or over the phone.
Will l be able to open a Northern Rock savings account?
Yes. All Northern Rock savings accounts are open to all eligible customers.
Will your contact details be changing?
No. You can get in touch with us in exactly the same ways as before. You’ll get through to the same people on the same telephone numbers. There is no change for Virgin Money customers.
When can I start using Northern Rock branches?
We won’t be making any immediate changes to the way Virgin Money products are serviced, so you won’t be able to manage your existing products through Northern Rock branches for the time being. However you’re more than welcome to pop in and find out how they could help you with savings and mortgages – Northern Rock offers a wide range of both in branches.
Over time, we will be changing Northern Rock branches into Virgin Money Stores, and our long-term plan is to offer a full suite of banking products that customers can buy and service online, over the phone and in their local Virgin Money store.

There are 75 Northern Rock branches across the country. You can find the nearest one to you using the branch finder on the Northern Rock website.
Are you opening a Virgin Money Lounge near me?
Our Edinburgh and Norwich Lounges are already open. Our Manchester Lounge is due to open early 2012. We also plan to open our Newcastle and London Lounges during 2012.
Will Northern Rock be rebranded to Virgin Money?
Over time, yes. However, it’s not something that will happen overnight. Our priority is making sure that both Northern Rock and Virgin Money customers continue to enjoy the same service and support as they do now.
Eventually we’ll look to have everything carrying the Virgin Money name – all our products, communications, websites and branches.
What products does Northern Rock offer?

Is Northern Rock (Asset Management) plc part of Virgin Money now too?
No, Northern Rock plc and Northern Rock (Asset Management) plc are two separate legal entities. Only Northern Rock plc has become part of Virgin Money - Northern Rock (Asset Management) plc remains under Government ownership.
Is Virgin Money moving to the North East?
Northern Rock’s Newcastle head office will be the operational headquarters of our savings and mortgages businesses, but we will also be retaining our other offices and operations around the country.
When will you be offering a Virgin Money current account?
We plan to launch a current account in 2013, as part of our ambition to offer a full suite of banking products to customers.
