What does this mean for me as a Northern Rock customer?
As Chief Executive of Virgin Money, I would like to reassure you personally that you will continue to enjoy the same product, service and support from Northern Rock as you currently do, whether that is through your branch, online, over the phone or by post.
In addition, if you are a savings customer, there will be absolutely no change to the level of protection your savings enjoy through the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
As you would expect, we plan to update branches to reflect the change to Virgin Money during 2012. We also plan to introduce new products and services over time that we hope you will find of value.
Before combining with Northern Rock, Virgin Money already had three million customers in the UK, across our range of investments, pensions, credit cards and insurance products. We pride ourselves on offering good customer service, good value and a simple and straightforward approach to finance.
