Contactless payments
We've added a new feature to your card which lets you pay for items of up to £20 without having to key in your PIN. It's all about making purchases on your Virgin Balance Transfer Credit Card as hassle-free as possible.
1. Tell the retailer you'd like to pay with your contactless Virgin Balance Transfer Credit Card
2. Hold your card against the terminal
3. Wait a second or two until you see the green light or hear a beep.
4. Off you go – if you need a receipt, just ask the retailer for one.
Anywhere you see the contactless symbol (opposite) in the UK and worldwide*. The list of retailers offering contactless is growing all the time – shops, coffee bars, newsagents, and more.
Find your nearest contactless retailer on the MasterCard PayPass website.
But don't worry if you don't see the contactless symbol, you can still use your card in the normal way and sign or enter your PIN.
*Contactless Virgin Balance Transfer Credit Cards are designed for use in most countries around the world. However there are a small number of contactless terminals in the United States which use a security mechanism not supported by MBNA. If you attempt a contactless payment at one of these terminals it will be declined, however you will still be able to perform a standard swipe transaction at these retailers.
* If your card is lost or stolen you'll incur no liability for fraudulent use of your card provided you notify us as soon as you realise your card is missing or you notice any unusual transactions on your account.
Paperless statements
We want to make it as easy and convenient for you as we can, so your statements will be available to view online instead of being sent in the post. We'll always send you an email to let you know when your statement is ready to view online at myvirginmoney.com.
You'll need to register for online card services to view your paperless statements. If, at some point in the future, you'd prefer to receive paper statements – you can change your options in Online Card Services.
Run your account online or by phone
It’s up to you how you choose to run your Virgin Balance Transfer Credit Card account. You can manage your account by phone or online – either way is easy.
