Members Shop Terms & Conditions

These are the Terms and Conditions of the Virgin Credit Card Members Shop. The shop is administered by Virgin Money Limited, Discovery House, Whiting Road, Norwich, NR4 6EJ (registered in England number 4232392). There may also be specific terms and conditions relating to any offer you choose.

Eligibility
The Members Shop is open to anyone who has a Virgin Credit Card. Additional cardholders won’t have access to the Members Shop, but they will be able to take advantage of the point of sale (POS) discounts available. Any points additional cardholders earn will be added to your account.

If either you or we close your card account, you’ll no longer be able to take part in the Members Shop, and you’ll immediately lose the right to redeem any points you’ve earned.

Members Shop points
Depending on how your Virgin Card is set up, you could earn points each time you use it (except for cash withdrawals, cheques and balance transfers). If your card wasn’t set up to earn points, you’ll still be able to purchase products and services for cash using your Virgin Card, and you may receive points for certain offers.

Points are earned for each whole pound spent on each transaction on your Virgin Card. Buying something from the Members Shop using your Virgin Card will also earn you points on the cash part of the transaction (you won’t get points for spending points).

We, or any of the other companies who offer products or services in the Members Shop, may sometimes offer special deals where you can earn extra points or redeem them for more valuable offers. We’ll show details relating to these extra offers on our website or we’ll let you know personally (or both!).

At each monthly statement date we’ll credit the points you’ve earned during that month to your account. Details of the points you have available to spend will be shown on your card statement. Or you can check this online by visiting the Members Shop at www.virginmoney.com or by calling us on the published Members Shop number.

Points remain available for you to spend from the date they are added to your account – there’s no expiry date.

You won’t be able to redeem any points you have, if:

  • you breach the Terms and Conditions of your card account, for example, by not making the minimum monthly repayment, or
  • your account is locked (for example, if someone has tried to access your account details without the proper security information).
You can transfer your points to other Virgin Card members; all you need to do is call us.

Offers
The Members Shop offers a range of products and services from a number of Virgin companies, plus information on POS discounts available to cardholders. There may also be offers and discounts from specially selected non Virgin companies. The terms of each offer will be available on the website or by calling us.

All products, services and POS discounts are invitations to you to take up an offer, which is subject to our acceptance, or acceptance from the company making that offer. No offer is guaranteed to be available and offers are only available while stocks last. We may vary or withdraw any offer without prior notice, although we’ll always try to tell you whether a particular offer is available before you buy. You’ll find details of current POS discounts in the Members Shop at www.virginmoney.com. Or you can call us for more information. If you’ve ordered a product or service that’s no longer available, we may suggest a replacement or refund the amount you paid for it (by refunding your points and/or crediting your Virgin Card account).

There are normally three ways to pay for offers through the Members Shop

  • cash only; or
  • points only; or
  • a combination of cash and points.
To take advantage of POS discounts available, you must pay the relevant company using your Virgin Card.

All cash payments must be made using your Virgin Card. If you choose to pay cash for an offer we’ll either take the payment ourselves on behalf of the company providing the goods or service, or in some cases, like wine, travel services and POS discounts, the payment may be taken directly by the relevant company.

When you take up an offer, you become a customer of the relevant company and are subject to their terms and conditions.

We’re not liable for any acts or omissions of any other company providing the offer in the Members Shop. We won’t be liable if suppliers of any of the offers, including POS discounts, withdraw, postpone or amend the offers and we make no representations regarding the quality and/or fitness for purpose of any of the offers.

Travel offers
If you choose an offer from a company providing travel products or services, your order will be passed to them and they will deal with it. These companies are registered with the relevant trade and statutory schemes (e.g. ABTA and ATOL) and their booking conditions will apply. You may be able to discount the price of your holiday by using Members Shop points or by getting a POS discount from the company, by paying with your Virgin Card.

Delivery & returns

Delivery:
The company offering the product or service will be responsible for all aspects of its delivery and suitability. The terms and conditions of that company will apply.

Delivery can only be made to the main cardholder’s UK address. Delivery times will vary depending on the company providing the offer, and details will be available on the website or by calling us.

If you don’t receive an offer within the given timescale, please contact us and we’ll follow it up for you.

Returns:
If you need to return a product, please contact us. The returns policy of the company who made the offer will apply, although generally you may return a product if:

  • it is faulty, or
  • it is unsuitable and you return it within 7 working days of receipt.
Some products are non-returnable and this will be stated in the terms of the offer.

If you have legitimately returned a product and you’d like a replacement, then the relevant company will either replace it with an identical one, or if there is no stock left, they may (at their discretion) suggest an alternative of equal or greater value. If a replacement isn’t available, or you’re returning the product because it’s unsuitable, we’ll refund the amount you paid for it (either by refunding your points and/or crediting your Virgin Card account). If you need to return a product and you received a POS discount at the time of purchase, you’ll be subject to the relevant company’s terms and conditions for returned goods. They may (at their discretion) suggest an alternative of equal or greater value, or refund the amount you paid (minus the discount you received at the time of purchase).

Complaints
If you have any complaints about the Members Shop, or any product or service bought from it, please write to us at Virgin Card Members Shop, Discovery House, Whiting Road, Norwich, Norfolk, NR4 6EJ.

Use of your information
To use the Members Shop and as part of running your card account, we’ll collect certain information about you, and hold and control this information as part of providing the Members Shop service to you. Please see our security policy to see how we’ll manage your personal information. This is available on our website, or call us, and we’ll send you a printed copy.

You give your information to us so we can provide any service to do with the Members Shop and to keep you updated about the offers available. We may pass your information on to other companies who provide the offers in the Members Shop (or companies working on their behalf), but we’ll do all we can to make sure that your information is kept safe and secure, whoever holds it. By signing up to the Members Shop, you agree that your information can be passed directly to, and between any such companies, for the purpose of administering the Members Shop, fulfilling your orders and for marketing analysis. They will hold copies of your information. Once you have taken up an offer from another company, you become their customer and are subject to their terms and conditions with regard to use of personal data.

We’ll also receive information direct from MBNA Europe Bank Limited about your card account (including your card details and transactions made) so that we can manage your Members Shop account and points.

Marketing the Members Shop
We’ll keep you up to date with the deals the Members Shop has to offer unless you tell us otherwise (either by writing to us at Virgin Card Members Shop, Discovery House, Whiting Road, Norwich, Norfolk, NR4 6EJ or telephoning us on the published Members Shop number).

Security
You need to make sure any security details you use to access the account are kept secure, and we’ll promise to do the same.
Further details of our security policy are available on our website, or call us and we’ll send you a printed copy.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to vary these Terms and Conditions, and we’ll let you know when we do. We also reserve the right to withdraw the Members Shop at any time. If we do we’ll give you written notice. If the Members Shop were withdrawn, any accrued points would be lost.
